Three siblings from Texas gifted their hard-working mother with the ultimate present on Christmas Day by paying off her mortgage for her Sugar Land home.
The emotional and heartwarming moment was captured on video and posted to Facebook, which shows Nigisti Asgedom at a loss for words after being told the news.
In the video one of her sons, Bahran Embaye, says to her ‘We know how hard you work to pay for this house so me Shiellan and Sewra, we wrote a check for $45,000 to pay for this house so you don’t have to work your second job,’ he said to her as his mom can be seen visibly breaking down.

‘Just enjoy being a grandma so you can just go to the Bank of America and get the deed to the house tomorrow,’ he said.
All the children yell out Merry Christmas to their mother who is so overwhelmed and stands up to hug everyone before burying her head in her hands in astonishment.
She was completely speechless but managed to utter the words ‘thank you’ under her breath as she can be seen taking it all in. She continued to say ‘I am very fortunate and lucky.’

Bahran captioned the video ‘If you know my mom you know she deserves the world, when shes delt a bad hand she takes it in stride and thanks god…for christmas me my brother and sister decided to pay the remaining balance on our childhood home that she works 2 jobs, 12 hrs a day to pay for just to pass down to us…now she can enjoy being a grandma, and relax….i swear thats not my voice cracking…Merry Christmas all…’
Shiellan told KHOU ‘She’s mortgaged her whole life to help us so it’s just paying back. I love her dearly. Hopefully this gesture will show how much I love her. This is the greatest money I’ve ever spent.’
Shiellan emptied her savings, had to sell her own home in Rosenberg and move home with her two children while her two brothers pitched in the rest.

‘Every birthday, every Christmas, every holiday was in this house,’ she said. ‘I had sleepovers here; you know everything like that, it was home,’ she emotionally said.
Apparently Nigisti bought the home when she was pregnant with Shiellan and has since had to work two jobs to try and pay for the house.
‘She’s had a pretty hard life and she’s been through a lot,’ Shiellan said. ‘As soon as I made that decision, it was tunnel vision until December.’
