#Myareavibe sports : Mount Zion Church to host 2nd Annual Unity Cup

The mission of the tournament, which was launched in 2017 by Mount Zion Church with help of Coach  Notel, one of the youth Coordinators , The goal of  this initiative is to help bridge the communities and forge connections via the common language of soccer.

According to Nortel, the value of sport to the diaspora community communities extends beyond sport for sport’s sake. It can play a role in bringing communities together, having a social and cultural impact, developing  anti-social behavior.  He also noted that this tournament will be bringing youths from different countries such Burundi, Congo (DRC) , Rwanda, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Nigeria.

The tournament also includes ladies who will be playing kickball while man are playing soccer. Coach Notel encourages all ladies to show up as most tournaments here in diaspora don’t include ladies.

The tournament will be held on Saturday ,  November 3rd. Come and support the Mount Zion Church initiative.
