Yung Cutter

Yung Cutter, Born Moses Massaquoi,Jr is a Liberian Record Producer/ Recording Artist and Audio Engineer Born on September 19, 1991 in Lofa County, Liberia. He started doing music back in 2007 in Blantyre, Malawi as a recording artist with a rap group called Clear Cutterz from where his name was derived. He went on to becoming a self taught music producer and Audio Engineer. Yung moved back to his country Liberia in 2009 after 8 years away in both Kenya and Malawi where he completed his high school education. He attended the Cuttington university where he met and worked with other top Liberian artist like Chiller Coolnanee and Kobazzi (the Lorma boy). Yung joined his present label Control Entertainment after he left college earning a Bachelors degree in Biology.

He soon moved to the united states and stopped producing music for himself for the next two years. Though he wasn’t on the music scene, Yung produced for other artists in that period of his life, from counties like, Ghana, England, Nigeria, Kenya, South Sudan, USA and his own country Liberia. Upon returning to the music scene, he release a track with Liberian hiphop artist and producer Cypha D’ King called ” Don’t Go There”. The record was good enough to keep Yung on the scene because shortly after, he released his hit single “That Girl” which took wave on the internet.

He has since released a couple of projects which include the East African remix to his Hit single “That Girl” ft. South Sudan Artists Manny Joe and B-Weezy, his label Control Entertainment theme song “Illest” with Chiller Coolnanee and lyricist Blaq meemo, a prequel to his hit single “That Girl” called “Who’s That Girl”, “Call me Zaddy”, his most recent work is with up and coming artist Genius Called “Back Up”, he was featured. Yung is also the CEO of a online beat selling website www.libertybeats.net a site developed to allow producers from his country to sell beats online to artist around the world.
