No doubt 2016 was Wizkid‘s year with singles like “Daddy Yo”, “Final” and others. Wizkid had many collaborations with different artists around the Globe including “Drake“ on the song called “One Dance“. This song made him be the first African to ever have song (even #1) on a Billboard 100 chart.
Due to working hard 2016 with non stop collaborations, single releases and tours all, Wizkid was forced to cancel his tours that were scheduled in late 2016 to get some rest (advised by his doctor). Now, the singer has announced he will be dropping four mixtapes. These mixtapes are said to include a leaked song with Drake called ‘Hush up the silence’ which surfaced the internet earlier this month, however it was taken down by the copyright owners.
2017 started with many Wizkid news. His fans were delighted when the “Daddy Yo” reveals via Twitter about his collaboration with a Jamaican super star, Vybz Kartel.
Vybz is by far a fan favourite reggae dancehall artist in his country,Jamaica with singles like ‘Fever‘, topping local charts. This collaboration will enable Wizkid, sometimes referred to as Wiz Kitado,
to gain even more fan in Vybz‘s country and the whole Caribbean.
The real fans can’t wait to hear what the Nigerian super star is cooking for us. #MyAreaVibe will keep you all up to date on how the collaboration is going.
